Backroads and Blessings

Chiricahua National Monument.

This interesting and beautiful park with its hoodoos and balancing rocks is in the southeast corner of Arizona southeast of the town of Wilcox on AZ hwy 186.

The hoodoos and rock formations can be viewed from above or a hike down among them

Also inside the park is the Faraway Ranch where Swedish immigrants bought a two room cabin in 1886 and later built a two story house which they turned into a guest ranch. The National park department acquired the ranch in the late 1970s. Check out the interesting history at https://www.nps.gov/chir/learn/historyculture/faraway-ranch.htm

We were able to bless a couple of teenage boys who had just finished a long hike. They came back to the road and weren’t sure which direction the campground was so they started off in the right direction but we gave them a ride to the campground.
