We arrived at the beautiful campground by Beebe Bridge on Hwy 97 North of Wenatchee below the town of Chelan. Seeing we were having trouble backing into our campsite, a young man from a nearby campsite came over and asked if we needed help. He yelled in Spanish to his uncle who came over and easily parked our trailer. As they were leaving I said “Dios le bendiga” (God bless you) They immediately wanted to engage in Spanish so with even with my very limited Spanish, we had instant rapport. Our friends Ron and Colene with camping with us and fortunately Ron speaks quite a bit of Spanish. We got invited to share their dinner with them and made friends with this lovely Mexican Christian family.
